A few years ago there was (in my opinion) a lot of information being given to Realtors about when someone could buy a home again if they short sold their home. There probably still is. A lot of Realtors are told (or don't bother looking it up) that if a person is foreclosed on it's 7 years before they can buy again and 2-3 if they short sold.
